Welcome to read@LEEP and WriteAway, a nonprofit organization under the Global Alliance of Multifaceted Learning. Our Mission is to help children develop a passion in reading and writing through exploring different genres of books, provided by our Reading Cave with over 3000 books. At read@Leep, children receive unconditional in their literary journey and can recieve help at anytime by the volunteers.
read@LEEP uses a optional Literacy Pro System to assess reading levels to set up unique and attainable goals for each student.
Our WriteAway Writing Program teaches children to explore their mind and ideas through the magic of the written word. Using writing to express themselves, students can understand their emotions while sharing their expriences with the world.

Our Challenges
One of the biggest challenges we face in the library is students not knowing their reading levels. Each week, students from public schools all over the community come visit our library looking for new discoveries. However, many students who do not read consistently are unfamiliar with different text styles, and thus choose books that are not the right fit, making reading a tedious and frustrating activity.
To address this, we used the Literacy Pro reading system by our Scholastic partner as well as assigning volunteers to each session, accommodating to each student's education and interests.
It is our goal to make sure that each student within our community has access to the worlds within books, and we will continue to make improvements to achieve our goal.

read@LEEP provides a reading library with thousands of books, all organized by Lexile Levels. Our mission is to guide students into meaningful reading adventures, by providing structured reading plans with attainable and rewarding goals.
We provide a comfortable and clean environment for students to explore their interests, and assign volunteers to accommodate for the student's needs

Writeaway- Writing and psychology
The WriteAway program is an English essay writing course that provides one on one guidance for students to discover themselves and their imagination. From fantasy to real life events, students are encouraged to write about anything they are willing to share, and in the process, we can get a deeper understanding of what it is like to be a student in our fast-paced society.

The Benefit of Reading & Writing
The process of reading and writing is a process of knowledge accumulation .
There are many benefits of Extensive Reading in the journey of learning language, and it is our goal to guide our students into an effective and engaging learning journey. From reading, students can develop skilled pronunciation , vocabulary growth, practice in phonics, and so much more. Exposing students to different stories increases motivation, self-esteem and empathy. Students who read extensively also become more autonomous learners.
Reading and writing , even at a slow pace, exposes children to more sentences, grammar, and new vocabulary per minute than the average TV show or song. Reading offers children a wider range of vocabulary and grammar, and is essential in supporting the basic language structures.
